A brief introduction to Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was born in Transkei(特兰斯凯)South Africa on July 18,1918. He devoted his whole life to helping Black people get the same rights as white people. He formed ANC Youth League in 1944 to fight for their rights. Because of his political activities, he was sent to prison for more than twenty years. When he was released (被释放)from prison, everything began better and better. He became the president of ANC and then The ANC came to power. Mandela became the first Black President in the history of South Africa from 1994 to1999. and he died in 2013.
