Step 1: Get your mind ready ( 6 minutes)
1. Greetings! Share the learning objectives with the whole class and predict the content.
2. Skim for the main characters and main idea.

Map story line & Summarize events
After detailed reading, ask students to map the story line and summarize the events.
Add feeling line & Find conflicts
Pay attention to Lear’s feelings and then add the feeling line on the story line and analyze the reasons behind and conflicts.

通过多次阅读,从明线(story line)故事发展到暗线(feeling line)李尔王情绪变化,让学生更深刻地理解该剧情节。通过让学生画出明暗线,可以提高学生的概括能力。并且通过明暗线的对比,引导学生感受戏剧要素(开始,发展,高潮,结局和冲突),找到该剧冲突所在。
