教学设计理论依据:人教版设计的戏剧体裁对人物刻画的很生动,按照“以学生为中心来认识教材”的宗旨,本节课关键是梳理深化文本理解,充分理解戏剧台词的魅力,促进学生个性化发展,进一步理解课文,学习用批判性思维来欣赏戏剧,深刻理解李尔王这个人物,学会评价分析。激活学生对已有背景知识的理解,通过collect information discussion group-work 等活动深入了解课文,从而对文中人物更好的认知,从语言知识的输入,再到语言知识的理解输出, 最终完成对知识的构建。使学生更好的对戏剧人物把握,表达自己的观点,促进学生自主学习。
教材分析:本节教材为本单元拓张英语阅读能力英语技能训练的一部分,共有两大任务,一 通过阅读让学生充分了解感受戏剧语言及对人物的了解, 二训练学生阅读能力 小组合作表演能力及语言运用能力.
学情分析:教学对象为高中三年级学生,在高中两年英语学习的基础上,她他们的认知能力也有了进一步的发展,分析问题 解决问题的能力已提高,本节课的话题莎士比亚和他的戏剧《李尔王》,学生既熟悉又陌生,通过任务型课堂活动和学习,提高学生自主学习能力,分层布置任务,因材施教,让学生全员投入到课堂中来。
教学目标:(Teaching Goals)
I . Emotional teaching:
1. To make the Ss familiar with the great works by Shakespeare and the life story of the great litterateur .let students master the language of drama.
2. To instruct the Ss to analyze the desire and the greed and the greatness of the different characters . Help the Ss sort out the good qualities from the two plays.
II. Teaching aims:
1. This unit includes two scenes of the play King Lear. Ss should learn the plots by themselves before class and then put forward their questions and present their views in class.
2. Help the Ss to get rid of the hurdle of learning language and train students’ reading ability. Through group work ,cultivate students ’cooperation ability.

WARMING UP
Before class , show students a picture of Shakespeare. let students talk something about him and his works freely . e g: <
Show students a short film, after enjoying ,let students guess the name of the movie, we know it is a part of King Lear, this class we will talk something about King Lear. Before learning I have some questions to ask you : 1) Do you love your father? 2) Is it important to show love and respect for your parents? why? 3) If you were married, would you love your parents less than you do now?
[give students some proper appraise according to their answers]
Show students another picture ( princess of Wencheng and Sentzen Gampo)
Guide students talk something about them and think about these two questions: 1) Who decided who the emperor ’s children would marry?
2) Who succeeded him when the emperor died ?
