二. 教学目标
Ability aims: Remind Ss that success in language acquisition depends on competence in the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as a thorough knowledge of grammar, a wide vocabulary and pronounciation as near as possible to those of a native speakers.
Emotional aims: Tell Ss that everyone is an individual and that a technique which is helpful for some students may not be as useful as for otehrs, choose those that best suit their learning style.
Learning strategies: enable Ss to learn how to read efficiently according to different reading tasks; set up group works to promote cooperative learning among students.
Teaching Methods: task-baksed learning, students-oriented activities,
brain-storming.
Teaching aids: Computer, PPT, book, handout.

Important points: 1.Know the four basic English learning skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writng.
2. Learn some useful reading skills from the text.
Difficult points: How to teach students to put the reading skills learnt in the text into use.
教学准备
通过对课文的仔细研读推敲,并参考网络优秀课件设计,查阅拜读了《中学英语教师阅读教学》系列丛书及《当代国外语言学与应用语言学文库》系列丛书,最后结合学生实际学情,精心挑选设计出环节紧凑,体现教学重难点,贴合学生学情的课件,组织合适的课堂教学用语,安排设计了以学生为主体的教学活动。
