Although they can understand the meaning of the whole passage, they still can not choose the right answer. So they need some skills and more practice to improve themselves.

Conclude some skills of gap-filling, such as key words, foretelling and connection.

Finish some gap-filling task using the skills.

Teaching important points:

Do the exercise according to the skills of gap-filling.

Teaching difficult points:

Students conclude some skills of gap-filling through experiencing by themselves.

Teaching methods:

Task- based method and competition to make students interested in what they will learn.

Team work and discussion to get the skills of doing gap- filling.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead in

Play a puzzle game together and sum up the similarity of the game and the gap-filling.

Step 2 Video sharing

Play 4 short videos about 4 students’ own experience and skills of doing gap-filling.

Step 3 Practice

Do some exercises about gap-filling question by using the skills that they talked about just now.
