【教学目标:学生通过对本堂课的学习,了解并掌握高考新题型“读后续写”的精髓,即,1.故事写作的两个基本要素:故事发生的背景和故事情节;2.如何写好故事发生的背景:从视觉、听觉、嗅觉/味觉、触觉四个角度出发;3.如何写出一个环环相扣的故事情节:写出句与句之间的强逻辑联系——并列关系、递进关系、同近义关系、反义关系、上下义关系等。】

Ⅱ. Teaching methods

1. situation teaching method (The lesson was led in by supposing a situation where their single English teacher wanted to propose to their single geographic teacher Mr. Chen.)

2. students-based teaching method (All tasks in the class need to be fulfilled by students’ designing various proposals.)

【教学方法:情景教学法和学生本位教学法。】

【情景教学法:通过设定老师十年前单身身份,想向依然单身的地理陈老师求婚,请学生设计求婚方略。】

【学生本位教学法:老师讲解部分,以学生为主,为讲解中主人翁设计求婚方略;学生练习部分,依然以学生为主,学生为自己设计表白场景。】

III. Teaching procedures

Step 1 Lead-in

1. Review the passage—“The Proposal” from Pride & Prejudice;

Elizabeth Darcy the proposal from Darcy to Elizabeth

2. Lead in the topic—How to design/write a proposal?

3. Draw the conclusion of how to write a proposal—by designing the setting and the plot;

【设计意图:通过回顾课文《傲慢与偏见》之求婚,引出今日主题:如何向自己的Mr. Right表白?并引导学生得出成功表白/求婚的必要步骤:选好时间地点&设计表白内容。该设计能引发学生强烈的兴趣,从而积极思考,积极参与,为整堂课打下基础。】

Step 2 How to describe the setting?

1. Get the students to guess “It is the proposal between _________ and _________ on__________ day in _________ place” by reading two examples.

2. Get the students to figure out the way to vividly describe the setting: through sight, hearing, smell/taste and touch.

Example 1:

( Before my eyes, there was a large green grass stretching out.

( A strong smell of the damp soil was blowing in her face.

( Lost in her mind, she could hear nothing but the rain’s beating on the floor.

( She began running and running, splashing through the puddles.
