高三学生虽然已经掌握大量的词汇,但依然存在许多问题,尤其选修11的文章比较长,学生在理解上可能会认为有些难并且会感觉枯燥无聊。因此,让教师应该循序渐进,让课堂生动起来,让学生掌握理解问题的方法,帮助学生增强信心。

教学目标分析

1 帮助学生了解更多关于新西兰的知识。

2 训练学生对城市或是国家的介绍以及表达能力。

教学过程设计

Step 1.Lead-in

1) Ask the students whether they like go sightseeing.

2) Ask the students to introduce what their favorite country.

3) Traveling is really interesting. Now I will show you some beautiful pictures. Try to guess where these pictures are from.

Step 2.Warming up

Video about New Zealand.

Introduce the information about the country.

Ask the students what they know about New Zealand. Work with a partner and decide whether the statements below are True(T) or False(F).

Step 3.Reading

Skimming. Complete the topic list below to show what each paragraph is about.

Scanning. Answer the question about the two parts(geography and history).

Retelling according the reading.

Step 4.Discussion

1)Why the Maori defeated in the war and ceded their land to British?

2)what did you learn from the historical event?

Step 5.Show time

Students introduce their favorite country

Step 6.Homework

Write your own summary on New Zealand.
