Period One: Teaching Aims
The teaching aims are contain: knowledge aim, ability aim and emotional aim.
1.Knowledge aim
The knowledge aim is to help students understand and master the new words, phrases and sentence patterns.
2.Ability aim
(1) To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing
(2) To guide Ss to set up effective studying strategies.
(3) To improve the student’s reading ability, especially their skimming and scanning ability.
(4) To train the Ss abilities of studying by themselves and cooperating.
3.Emotion aim
(1)By completing the task, the Ss increase their interest in some detective stories.
(2)Teach the Ss know how to decrease crimes, put the moral education in the language study.
Period Two: the Important and Difficult Points
The important point is to help students understand the whole passage and how to use simple words to describe the two cases.
The difficult point is the new words, expressions and grammar rules.
