Greet students with “Ladies and
gentlemen” .
Show students two videos about anger ( “good anger” and “bad anger”).
Show students some pictures of a popular game Angry Birds(supported by the computer and projector)
The students will be curious to see the pictures and think hard to guess the topic.
Students could realize that being an adult means being good at controlling one’s anger.
Step 2 Questions and Answers (15min)
In this part, three questions about anger are asked:
What is your definition of anger and the definition from the materials?
(definition)
How many types of anger are there and could you give me an example of each?
(category)
How could we deal with anger?
(ways)
Students are encouraged to act them out.
To answer each question, students will have 1-2 minutes to search the reading materials for answers. (The reading materials were read by students before the lesson).
To answer the first question, students are made to make a comparison between their definition of anger and the definition from the materials. Through Question 2, students could better identify their anger in daily life. Through Question3, students could better deal with anger.
Step 3 Brainstorming (15min)
Students are divided into three groups. The three groups are shown different situations where they are easy to get angry and asked how to deal with their anger.
