Characteristic: The article is rather long, so it is difficult for Senior 2 students to understand. Besides, exemplification and contrast are used in the article.
Function: It can lay a solid foundation for students' reading, speaking and writing skills.
Part II Analysis of the Students
Senior Two students are equipped with some English knowledge. They can think creatively and some of them have enthusiasm for English. However, they haven’t developed effective reading and writing habits. Some students lack confidence.
What should I do: To inspire their interest;
To develop reading and writing strategies;
To encourage them to speak up confidently.
Part III Teaching Objectives
According to the requirements of Key competencies and after the learning of the New Curriculum Standards, by the end of the class, the students will:
