Ability aims:

Most of the students can get all the main points covered in their letters and choose a proper suggestion from the materials or their own brainstorm when writing the letter.

Emotional aims:

Students may be more confident to write the letter of suggestions and they are more likely to be aware of the need for proper suggestions when helping others.

Teaching important and difficult points:

How to help students choose a proper suggestion to write the letter and try to use more wonderful words, phrases, and sentences.

Analysis for the lesson and students:

This lesson is revised from Book 11 Unit 3 “Finding the Correct Perspective” writing task. Most of the senior students from Class 20 have a knowledge of writing a letter by following the hints but they are not good at making their own choices for suggestions. Hence they are expected to practise the skill in this lesson. Before the class, they were asked to prepare the sentence patterns for this lesson.
