Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Lead-in.

With the approach of the College Entrance Examinations, ask students how they feel. Students may have different reactions. Some students feel excited while others feel nervous. Let’s say students feel excited. Show the direct way to express excitement on the screen: I am very excited that the examination is approaching. Then ask students to think of some other ways to express excitement. Then introduce the topic—how to express emotions.

Step 2: Let’s learn.

First present some typical examples and get students to figure out what sentence patterns are used to express feelings. And then make a conclusion.
