Today, my parents and I made a three-day tour of Xiamen.
On our arrival, we headed straight for Gulangyu Island. As one of the most famous attractions in Xiamen, Gulangyu appeals to a great many tourists every year. After lunch, we went to swim at the beach, picked up shells and chased the waves as well. Then, we travelled to a village, where we tasted different kinds of delicious snacks. What I didn’t want to miss in the afternoon was Xiamen University, the place I’m longing to study in.
Despite being exhausting, the trip was worthwhile.

Structure:
Part 1. Generalize the time, place, people and purpose of the event. (Beginning)
