Students can describe people looks politely and learn to respect others.

Teaching importance;

Let students master the words and sentences

Teaching difficulty:

A: What does/do….look like?

B:…is/are …/ ….have/ has…

Teaching procedures:

Step 1: warming up:

Play flash to lead in new lesson .

Then students take about people’s looks.

Step 2:Presentation:

1.Use the pictures on the screen to teach the words.

2.Ask the students to read the words three times after the teacher. Then students read the words by themselves.

3.Let the students use the words to describe their looks with each other. eg:

A: What does/do….look like?

B:…is/are … , ….have/ has…

4.Match the words in 1 a with the people in the picture on page 1 in the book

5.Check the answers in pairs like this:

A: who has curly hair?

B: person b has curly hair.

Step 3 listening:

Amy couldn’t find her friend, let’s help her. Listen and fill in the blanks in the picture in 1a.

Listen again and answer how to ask people’s looks and how to answer.

Check the answers and write on the blackboard.

Pair work: one of the people in 1a is your friend. Describe your friend, your partner will find her or him.

Listen and answer the questions in 2a.

Listening tip: before listening, read the alternative questions first.

Listen again and fill in the chart.
