Teaching Steps:
Step 1.Showing the Teaching Task
Tell students what is a letter of information and how to write it.
Step 2.Phrases Study
Show some useful phrases on the screen, students read them together Then ask individual student to read some of the , phrases and the others guess the meaning without looking at the screen.
Step 3. Cooperation Study
Ask students to study and memories the useful phrases and dictate them to check each other.
Step 4. Sentence Making
Ask students to make some sentences using some new learnt useful phrases. Then show some on the screen and ask students to correct them if there are any mistakes. Then the whole class read the sentences .
Step 5 Passage Study
Ask students to study the model essay and find out some useful expressions, then ask some students to write them on their homework exercise book and the whole class read the essay together.
Step 6 Writing
Task 1. read and learn what to write and how to write it.
Task 2 Students finish writing a letter of information according to the rules
Task 3 Students in pairs check their passages each other.
Task 4 Check some students’passages by showing them on the screen.
Step 6 Summary
Have a summary on this class and ask students to observe the sentences in model essays and try to use some of them in their writing.
Step 7 Homework
Read and go over the useful phrase as well as the sentences again after class and try to make sentences with some useful expressions .
Finish writing their passages.
