Teaching Procedure:

Step 1 Warming –up

T:Would you please open the door ?(A student open and close the door.)

T: OK. I was inviting him to open and close the door. It’s common for us to invite someone to do something in our daily life. If we want to invite someone to do something formally, we should write invitation letter . (Students say “write an invitation letter. ”together. ) So , let’s learn to write an invitation letter.

Step 2 Listen and choose what you are hearing .

T: Take our your study plan and focus on step 1.First of all, let’s learn how to write beginning and ending of an invitation letter. Listen and choose what you are hearing. Begin.(Listen and choose.)

T: First one ,we choose A .It’s the beginning of this invitation letter.

Second one, we choose B. It’s the ending of this invitation letter.

So let read it together .(Sentences on the blackboard ) So there are different ways to write beginning and ending of an invitation letter.

Step3 Correct errors and learn to add details to the main points of your writing .

T:Let’s go to step2. There is another invitation letter for you . But each sentence has at least one mistakes . First, please correct errors . Begin.(Students do this task for 4 minutes.)

T: Finish it or not ?

S: Yes.

T: Ok, I would like one student to tell me your answers .

(A student read her answers loudly.)

T: Now, please look at the screen . It’s a correct one . Please check the answers by yourself.

T: Ok, focus on Chinese writing and tell me what point 1 is ?
