Step I: Preparation
1.Greetings.
2.Enjoy a song.Then find the present participle of verbs from the song.
3.Memory Challenges.(Say the present participle of the verbs quickly,find out the rules and then make sentences using them.)
Step II : Presentation
1. Present some phrases by using PPT and talk about them.(a photo of my family,study for a test,in the living room,talk on the phone.)
2. Ask some students to make sentences using them.
3.Present the picture of Jim’s family.Let the students talk about what the family members are doing in groups.Then ask two students to describe the picture in front of the whole class.
Step III : Practice
Task1.
Activity3a Complete Jim’s letter.
First leave the students several minutes to do it by themselves.Then ask one student to check the answers. Finally, read the letter together.

Analyze the structure of this letter.
