Analysis of Students:

Students of today live in a high-tech era, computers and smartphones are commonly and frequently used in our daily life, so students are very familiar with this topic and quite interested in it as well. As for their English levels, students in Senior Two have grasped a certain amount of English knowledge and developed their own language learning methods. The most important thing is to inspire their interest, develop their own reading strategies and encourage them to speak up confidently.

application software; install; system software; operating system; document; desktop; taskbar; click; window; file; keyboard; mouse; browser; Wechat

Enable students to explain what application software is.

Describe how system software interacts with application software.

Identity the widely-used application software.

能力目标Ability aims:

1. Develop the students’ reading ability and let them learn different reading skills such as skimming, scanning, summarizing, and so on.

2. Enable students to know how to install and start an application software.
