Students have learned about the relation between spending and saving. However, they have some difficulty in the language points. Students need some guidance to help them master some new words and practice using them.

Students can master the language points and read materials related to the topic of this unit.
Students can use the new words and phrases to write a composition related to the topic of this unit.

Teaching procedures（教学过程）：
Step 1. Greetings
Step 2. Lead-in
Review the reading passage by asking students some questions. In the answers to the questions, there are some useful words and phrases. And I emphasize them in red. So when students see the answers, they will pay attention to the words in red.
Step 3. New lesson: useful words and expressions
Learn some useful words and phrases:
Satisfactory
Firstly, give students the different forms of “satisfactory” and some phrases. Then ask students to make some sentences.
Refer to
According to the pictures and sentences, ask students to guess the meaning of the parts in red. Then I’ll show the phrases of “refer to”.
Intend
Firstly, give students the usage of “intend” and then ask them to recite them and practise using them.
