Remind the students of the novel, Oliver Twist and predict the main plot according to the title.

Ask the students to learn about the Author.1.Surf the internet and refer to the materials in the library to find out the information about the author before class(Charles Dickens狄更斯)

2.Write it down and share it with the partners. Guide the students to learn about the general information of the author and grasp the background of the novel.Step 2: Learn about the Background

1.Ask the students to refer to the materials and talk about background, including theme of the novel and writing style of Dickens.
