2. Abilities: Enable Ss to learn how to read the passage with the help of reading skills and continue the writing.
Teaching key points: Improve the Ss’ reading skills.

Teaching Procedures:
Step Ⅰ. Lead-in
T: Are you tired?
Ss: Yes we are.
T: Do you want to watch a short video to relax yourself?
Ss: Yes.
After watching the video, the students will be asked to tell the main idea of it. The answer should be about the love between the girl named Cinderella and the princess. This part is used as introduction to the topic that we are going to talk about.
Step Ⅱ. Warming-up (多媒体展示multi-media slides show)
A picture about the title and the two main characters of the passage will be shown on the PPT, the students will be asked to predict what the text will talk about according to the information in the leading part and the picture given.
Step Ⅲ. Reading
The students will be given enough time to read this passage about 8 minutes, and after that, I will analyze the main characters of the passage, then the students are asked to tell the relationship among the characters, and try to find the supporting details from the text. For example, the relationship between Thisbe and Pyramus is love while the relationship between the lovers and Aphrodite is a helper and so on.
Next, I will develop this passage by the plot. And the plot is divided into following parts, the background, the communicative way, the turning point and the climax. The above points are shown by the supporting details from the passage
Step Ⅳ. Language points
The language will appear in the supporting details, the students will guess the meanings of them according the word’s context. So teaching vocabulary strategy will be used in this part.
Step Ⅴ. Individual task and group discussion
The story is not finished and needs students to continue the writing, they will be asked to use five or six sentences to continue the story briefly for about 6 minutes, after that, they will discuss their writings with their group members to polish the writing style. Then I will ask their group leaders to show their writing, in the meanwhile, I will correct their mistakes and make some comments on them.
