2)Enable students to be willing to study by themselves.
2.Teaching important and difficult points:
Enable the students to learn the new words and phrases by themselves basing on group discussion。
3.Teaching materials:
The content of the lesson is the key words and expressions in Book8 Unit2. This unit is about cloning which is a little difficult for them. By studying the key words and phrases the students can understand the reading more easily.
4.Learners analysis
The students are form Grade2 of senior high school. They have learned English for more than 4 years. They may have known something about cloning, but they still have few vocabularies about it. In addition, the students are usually active and curious so that they want chances to express their ideas. So, the teacher will design some tasks for them to discuss and solve by themselves.
5.Teaching aids:
A blackboard, chalk and a computer.
6.Teaching procedures:
Step1：Read the following words and try to master their spelling and pronunciation.
1)words:
differ twin object objection obtain forbid owe retire bother strike vain resist procedure altogether
2)phrases:
pay off cast down in favour of (be) bound to (do) strike ...into one's heart
from time to time bring back to life in vain in good/poor condition
Step2: Lead in.
A guessing game: enjoy the pictures and guess the words as quickly as possible:

Step3: Self-study.
Before the class, the teacher had asked the students to finish the study paper. Two minutes for the students to check their answers.
Step4: Group discussion.
Ten minutes for the students to discuss the following key words and phrases with group members. After that, each group should have one student to be a “teacher” to choose one word or phrase to analyse it in the front of the whole class. And the teacher should act like an “assistant” to help the students when they have difficulties in explaining.
