Part1 Text Analysis
According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus,students should be trained in 4 aspects,language ability,learning ability,thinking quality and cultural consciousness.This unit “Festivals around the world” belongs to People&Society category.An important element in the unit is the opportunity to compare and contrast cultural practices in China and other societies.In order to help students know how to introduce festivals in a systematical way, I add a supplementary material to students’ textbook.The combined parts are several conversations among young people about Trinidad Carnival(What is about the text?).The listening and speaking materials are not only to offer students knowledge about how to celebrate Carnival in Trinidad but to encourage students to listen and then use what they have heard to introduce some Chinese Carnivals(How is the text handled?).These activities are designed to assist students in developing higher-order thinking skills and appreciating cultures of all kinds in the world.(Why is the text handled in this way?).
本节课主要目的在于培养学生相关话题的听说技能,能够运用所学的知识来达到综合运用语言的能力以及学会运用多种表达介绍狂欢节。通过教学中的音视频结合导学案中不同题型的设置来帮助学生学会用不同的表达方式介绍各国的狂欢节。学生能够通过本节课的情感教育更加重视中国的传统节日。学生听力水平的不同是听力教学的一大难题。因为传统教室的听力授课内容大多数是通过磁带,或者多媒体电脑统一播放给学生,在这种教学的环境下是无法为学生提供个性化的听力指导,学生听力效果参差不齐。基于此种情况,教师选择通过云机房的设施和网络平台来实现个性化听力指导。
Part2 Students Analysis
A KWL chart will be adopted to analyze students better:Firstly, what do students know?(K) Freshmen as they are,students have already had a vocabulary of about 2000 words to comprehend listening materials and voice their opinions. Besides,students are active in thinking, and fond of participating in activities. Secondly,what do students want to know? (W)Students are eager for foreign cultural knowledge and want to know how to introduce festivals in an effective way. Thirdly, what have students learned? (L)I hope students will learn several listening and speaking strategies and apply what they have learned to their daily communication.
通过课前的KWL表格调查学生的学情,了解不同学生的听力基础,调查学生想要了解的知识范围,使老师的教学更有针对性。
