Warming up
One student draws or acts a word out without speaking, and the other students guess the word and shout it out. The group guess the most words wins. The procedures go like this: first, draw or act out the first part of the word; second, draw or act out the second part of the word; third, draw or act out the whole word.

1.Students read a passage, pay attention to the underlined words, and answer this question: how are the underlined words formed? ---They are formed by two or more words, sometimes these words are combined together, sometimes they are joined by using “-”. They are called compound words.
