New words: First, let’s learn some new words.(Show some pictures on the screen, point at the pictures and let students speak out the words,then give some simple explanation about each word)
eg: visit--Do you often visit your grandparents on weekends?
Canada--Do you want to visit Canada?
Talking: Talk about the pictures below with your partner. Ask these questions: Where are the people? How’s the weather? What are they doing? (Teacher gives an example: In picture A, the girl is next to the pool. It’s sunny and hot. She is drinking orange juice.)
You will have 2 min to talk with your partner.
Step 3: While-reading
Fast reading: Match each postcard below with the correct picture in 2a. You will have 2 min to do it.
