Teaching steps:
Step 1 Warm-up
Sing a chant and then according to the chant, Ss choose which monster the chant is about on their pads
Step 2 Lead-in
Play “Rock, paper, scissors ” to determine the winner and the class talks about what the winner looks like
Step3 Grammar Focus
T shows the Chinese version of the GF, Ss take turns to translate.
Ask Ss to read the GF again and find out all the verbs then summarize the principles about the usage of “be” and “have/has”.
Step 4 Practice
Finish 3a to practice, check the answers by making full sentences.
Introduce new word for Ss to make more new sentences.
Game on pads choose the right verbs for each sentence.:

Finish 3b, let Ss know about alternative questions
Pair-work: make conversations using alternative questions
Game: guess who one’s favorite actor/actress is by only asking alternative questions
Step 6
Task: draw a picture of someone and submit, ask several Ss to introduce him/her.
Show pictures of normal people and tell Ss they are beautiful because they are important in everyone’s life.
