本单元的中心话题是人物外貌的询问和描述，根据《英语课标》和本单元教材内容，教师采用任务型语言教学途径，将教学目标设计成符合学生学习实际的任务链，尽量使学生在参与任务的过程中学习运用语言，形成英语语言思维。教师使用多媒体辅助教学手段为学生营造较好的语言环境，提高学生学习语言的积极性。通过任务型的教学途径，发展学生的综合语言运用能力，使语言学习的过程成为学生形成积极情感态度、主动思维能力和大胆实践能力的过程；采用多媒体辅助教学，综合听说读写，由浅入深，循序渐进地展开教学。

授课内容Unit 1 What does he look like? (Section B 2a---2e)课时Period 1授课对象七年级学生授课教师一、教材内容分析 本节课是在Section A部分的基础上展开的围绕人物外貌描写的语篇阅读活动，是对Section A 部分的巩固和拓展。本篇阅读通过对刑侦画像师职业和经历的描写，让学生真切地感受到外貌描写在生活中的实际用途，巩固关于人物描写的语言结构；同时通过阅读进行思维构图的训练，要求学生在理解语篇的基础上选出符合描述的人物形象，并能够根据上下文分析推断句子的逻辑关系，从而推测出不同代词的指代对象，并通过系列活动培养学生对细节的理解能力和对语篇的分析能力。二、教学目标Teaching aims:

Aims of basic knowledge:

1. Students can infer the person according to the description of the person’s appearance.

2. Know about the pronouns.

Aims of abilities: Improve the students’ reading skills.
