【设计意图】读前活动通过章莹颖的真实案件引出police artist这一职业,通过观看视频对该职业做初步了解,并利用“电子词典”学习生词。
【难点突破】北大研究生章莹颖在美国访学失踪遇害案件是去年的热点新闻之一,但是初一的学生年龄小,对该案件应该并不熟悉,加上对章莹颖的英文介绍涉及到一些较难的单词,因此教师应该尽可能的将案件介绍转换为浅显易懂的语言,让学生对该案件有大概了解,同时,提问学生:你知道谁是罪犯吗?你知道怎样找到罪犯吗?通过这两个问题自然的过渡到阅读主题police artist.
