五、教学过程
Step I. Lead-in
Ask：How do you usually go to school?
Have the students answer the questions.
Step II. Before reading
After hearing the students’ answer and say:
I think It’s easy for you to get to school，but for the students in some villages, it’s difficult. Because there’s a big river between their school and the villages. And there is no bridge. They need to cross the river by boat. But sometimes the river runs too quickly. So they have to go on a ropeway to cross the river to school.
Introduce the new words and expressions.
StepIII. While-reading
Read the whole passage for the first time quickly and choose:
What is the passage about?
A:It’s about an eleven-year-old boy.
B:It’s about how the students in a small village get to school.
C:It’s about villagers’ dream.
Read the passage again carefully and answer:
1.How do the students in the village go to school?
2.Why do they go to school like this?
