I. Cheer up&Greetings ,Revision & Lead-in
Step 1.Cheer up : Sing an English song as usual ,and chant out their Today’ slogan” in the reetings:Open my mouth , try my best. Learn English ,feel happy .(Ss clap their hands and chant happily. 学生们和教师一起唱英文歌曲“Bingo”,边拍手边吟诵“今日标语”,不仅调动了学生们的积极性,而且让他们放松了身心,融入到课堂的学习氛围当中。)
【Revision】Teacher guide Ss to recall what they have learned in the TV report in 2b . Ss can say something about ZhuHui’s family in Shenzhen and his host family in the United States .(学生对于上一堂课的内容复现,有助于新老目标语言技能的过渡和衔接并且使学生更容易进入本堂课的目标。)
【Lead-in】
Show some photos of the teacher's family and the Ss themselves.
T: We have known so much about ZhuHui’s family ,now do you want to know something about my family ? Look! This is a photo of my family. What are my family doing?
2. Ask some Ss ask and answer about the photo quickly .
S1: What are they doing ?
S2:They are taking a walk in a park .
S1: What's Miss Huang’s father and her little baby doing ?
S2: They are shopping in a supermarket .
T: Do you want to see more photos ? Ss : Yes,sure.
T: Yeah, it’s about you guys ,ha ? Hey , what are you doing in the classroom?……Who are dancing on the stage ?(ask and answer about another four pictures like this)(老师将与学生最感兴趣,最亲民的图片展示出来,很快的进入到语言的真实环境里,学生的表达欲更强烈。)

1. T: Well, after enjoy seeing our photos , let’s see Jim’s family photo, OK ?

2. Work in pairs ,report something about Jim’s family photo to your parter..
3. Let some pairs put out their ideas.
4. Complete Jim’s letter and check the answers by asking one or two Ss to read the letter . (这是一个半控制性练习,有助于学生感知写作的素材和初步方法。)
IV. Pre-writing
1. Consolidation about the Present Progressive Tense, in order to write the composition .

V. While-Writing
T shows some pictures of the writing ,discuss and compare the two short passages , find out the similarities of the writing structures together.
The writing structure :
Time—People and Place ---details about people’s activities –summary (Emotion-up)
2. Take out the drawing work by Ss ,and talk about the picture together ,then write down into a composition.
3.Share with your partner about your writing, find out the little mistakes and the most beautiful sentence you like .
4.Let's look at Tom's family photo and write what his family are doing .
5.Ask a volunteer to write the composition on blackboard and check the work together .(让全体学生有效参与,共同探讨出本堂课的写作主题和结构,实际动手写作和评价欣赏对方作文,使得学生掌握写作的要领。)
