Ⅲ. Teaching procedures: Teaching Steps
Step 1. Warming-up
All the students sing a song about time with the teacher.
Step 2 Review
Say the time and some phrases according to showing pictures on the big screen, then do some exercises on line.
Step 3 Lead-in Brain Storm.
Write something I always do, something I usually do and something I never do on the white board. Then let every student say their own sentences with always、 usually or never one by one.
Step 4 Play a game.
Let students make up some sentences with the given words on the white board.
Step 5 Grammar focus
Let Ss read the conversations in Grammar Focus carefully at page 9. Then let Ss find out some knowledge points. Finally the teacher sum up the important knowledge points:when和what time都可以用来询问时间,二者在使用时要注意以下几点:1.询问做某事的具体时刻(钟点)时,两者可以互换使用。2.询问事情发生的年份、月份、星期以及上午、下午或晚上等非钟点性时间时,只能用when。3.询问钟表上表示的具体时间时,只能用what time,不能用 when。
