Step1. Lead in
Show a model clock and tell students that we will learn the expressions of time. Then ask students to watch a video: “What’s the time?”

Step2. presentation
Ask about and say times.
Present some times and ask about them.
T: What time is it? / What’s the time?
Ss: It’s five past two./a quarter past seven ./half past seven ./twenty to nine ./ a quarter to four .
Then ask students to summarize the expressions of time.
1) 点钟数+分钟数

2)分钟数+past +点钟数(分钟数不超过30分)
