通过学习美国文化的卡通人物象征----Mickey Mouse, 思考中国文化的卡通人物象征,并能总结出我们能够从这个卡通人物身上学得哪些精神。

三、教学设计

Step I Warming-up :Guessing game.

Task 1.带领学生玩塔罗牌游戏,遮挡卡通人物给出英文提示引导学生猜测塔罗牌后是什么卡通形象,遮挡卡通人物给出英文提示, 翻开三张牌,第一张展示黑猫警长,第二张展示孙悟空,第三章给出英文提示(文中对米老鼠的描述),引出本阅读语篇要讲述的美国卡通形象----米老鼠(Mickey Mouse),同时引出和教授新单词culture、famous.带出文中的原句 1.one symbol of American culture. 2.He has two large round ears. He is really famous all over the world.

T: Boys and girls, have you ever tried Tarots(塔罗牌)? Look at the screen,

I have 3 Tarot Cards here ,do you want to know what are behind them?

S: Yes.

T:Ok,let’s find the answers behind them. Are you ready? Let’s go~

(设计意图:用玩游戏的方式引出阅读文本的主题-----卡通形象米老鼠 Mickey Mouse,激发学生兴趣,同时引入新词和文本中的原句,为接下来的阅读扫除障碍)

Task 2.展示米老鼠图片,询问三个问题:1.What does he look like? 2.What is his girlfriend’s name? 3.Who created Mickey Mouse?引出Walt Disney,并加以介绍-------为第一段的阅读扫除障碍。

T:Look at the picture of Mickey Mouse, I have 3 questions for you…

Step II Leading-in & Pre-reading

Task 1. Watch the video about Mickey Mouse.

T: Do you like Mickey Mouse? Let’s enjoy a video about Mickey.

After watching…

T: Do you want to know more about it? Let’s read the passage about Mickey Mouse.

Task 2. Predict(预测):

What will the passage talk about?

A. Mickey Mouse

B. Some cartoons

C. Walt Disney

T:Look at this picture, let’s have a prediction about the passage.What will the passage talk about?Guess…

(设计意图:让学生对篇章主题有预测,同时对阅读策略进行渗透------通过看图预测文章主要内容)

Step III While-reading

Task 1. Read the passage quickly and match

1.On November18,1928 A.He became the first cartoon character(角色) to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

2.In the 1930s B. The cartoon Steamboat Willie came out(出版)

3.On November 18, 1978 C. Walt Disney created (创作)87 cartoons .

T:There are 3 important time points here, try to find what happened at these time?

(设计意图:对文章的时间轴做变相处理,让学生通过连线,对Mickey的发展史中三个重要的时间点有大致的了解,同时对时间线索有清晰的认识)
