(设计意图:通过一个与“新年决心”有关的视频导入,打开学生的学习思路,之后展开“free talk”,问题的设计承上启下,使学生有话可说,有感而发。)

Step1. Task 1. Skimming
Read the passage and match each paragraph (1-3) with its main purpose in the box.
(设计意图:“Skim”为新授的第一个环节,通过略读来确定文章的三段大意。初步了解文章内容。学生自主完成这一任务,有利于养成独立思考的习惯。)
Step2. Task 2. Scanning
Which paragraph in the passage do you think each sentence goes in? Write the letters [A-D] in the correct places in the passage.
(设计意图:“Scan”为新授的第二个环节,通过浏览找出文章的具体信息:将任务2中的4句话放回原文,更加生动地展现文章内容。该任务有学生主完成,有助于学生理清文章脉络。)
