Ⅰ. Warming- u p and revision
1. Daily greeting.
2. Enjoy a piece of music to lead the mew class in.
Ⅱ. Presentation
T shows pictures of drums, piano, guitar, violin and get Ss to say the English words of these instruments. Remind Ss to pay attention to the pronunciation of the words, especially the word stress of violin, piano and guitar. Then ask and answer in chain
T: Can you play the piano?
S1Yes, I can.
T: Can he play the piano?
S2: Yes, he can[practice more like this]

1.T asks one student questions to give an example for the other Ss to follow:

Ⅳ. Listening
Tell the Ss that they will listen to some sounds of the instruments. Listen and number the words [1-4 ] in the order of the sounds you hear in 1a.

3. T: Now let's work on 1c. First, predict what words we will use and what words we won’t use. let one student predict the words and phrases.
4. Then listen to the tape and circle the words and phrase you hear.
