(1)Show the students three pictures about Peter,Alan and Ma Huan,then ask them to talk in groups of four to guess what they can do.
(2)Group show.
(3)Read the three descriptions about Peter, Alan and Ma Huan. Underline what they can do.
(4)Read the three descriptions again.Fill in the chart and check the answers.

Show one of the ads in 2b.Ask the students to give the ad a title.Then show the students the three titles to choose the right one.Teach the students to find out the key words or important information for the article.
Read the ads. Match the titles with the ads.
Read 2a and 2b again,do 2c.
(4)Then read 2b carefully and answer the following questions.
1.Who is good with old people?
2.Who can make friends with old people?
3.Where can Peter go to help with sports?
4.When will Alan help to teach music?
5.Who will Alan call to offer(提供)his help?
6.What is Mrs.Miller's phone number?

3.After reading
Fill in the blacks according to the ad in 2b. Read the conversation in pairs.Then ask some students to act in front of class.
Suppose the students are one of them Peter Alan or Ma Huan. Work in pairs and make up your conversation and act it out.
