Help the students to answer “ I go shopping.”
Get familiar with the weekend activities : help with housework , read a book , take exercise , watch TV
Ask S1 “ What do you do on weekends? ” Help S1 to answer correctly.
Ask S2 “ What does he / she do on weekends ?” Help S2 to answer correctly.
Practice
Divide the students into groups of three , practice the conversation :
A : What do you do on weekends?
B: I watch TV.
A: What does he / she do on weekends?
C: He / She watches TV.
Make similar conversations.
Presentation
Present the new words :
always (100%) usually (80%) often(30-50%)
sometimes (20%) hardly ever(5%) never(0%)
Practice the new words in the conversation :
A : How often do you exercise?
B : I hardly ever exercise.
A : How often does he / she exercise?
C : He / She hardly ever exercises.
Help the students to express their meanings in different ways
For example :
A : How often do you read a book?
B : I always read a book. ( I read a book every day.)
A:How often does he / she read a book ?
C:He / She always reads a book . ( He / She reads a book every day . )
