Step 2 Presentation
Present the studying aims on the blackboard or on the screen. Let the students know what they will learn in this lesson.
Step 3 Lead-in
Look at the pictures on the screen and ask the questions:What are they eating? Are they healthy or unhealthy? How do you like their habits? Do you like the food? How often do you eat the food? Then talk about the contents with partners.
Step 4 Self-study and Pairwork
After talking with each other, please look at the information in the chart in 3a and talk about whether you have these good/bad habits or not in pairs.
Then complete the report according to the information in the chart.
Check the answers with partners and then check the answers with the whole class.
Read the report aloud and understand its Chinese meaning individually.
Step 5 Practice
Complete the chart with your own information. In the last column, use expressions like always, every day, twice a week and never.
Later, invite some groups to talk about his or her good and bad habits before class.
Step 6 Writing
Write a report about your good and bad habits. Say how often you do things.
Use the report in 3a as an example.
Ask some individual students to read their reports to class.
Step 7 Quiz and groupwork
Ask the students to do the healthy quiz individually, compare the results with your partners’. Point out who’s healthier.
Later collect the results, choose the healthiest one.
Discuss the usages of none,no one, nobody and nothing in groups.
(1) no one 没有一个人; none 也指没有一个人,但它强调三者或三者以上的都不 ( 当谈论两者以上都不时,用neither,不用none); nobody指没有一个人,它强调的是连一个也没有; nothing 指的是什么也没有, 指的是物; anything 指的是任何事或物
(2) nobody, no one, nothing和none常用作简略答语,一般情况下,nothing回答what问句; nobody和no one回答who问句;none回答how m any或how much问句。
Step 8 Self Check
Look through the chart in Part 1 and talk about the differences among these adverbs of frequency in groups.
Then complete the chart with activities you do and don’t do. What about your mother or father?
After that, write five sentences using the information in the chart.
Finally, let some students present their work.
Step 9 Self-study
Task 1: Have a fast reading of the conversation to know what they are talking about.
Task 2: Then fill in the blanks in the conversation.
