StepⅠ. Lead-in
Ask the students to read the new words together:comfortable seats, big screens, best sound, cheap, new movies, close to ,buy tickets quickly, popular…
Step Ⅱ. Discuss in pairs
How do you choose a movie theater to go to? Look at the pictures and sentences according to the examples.
e.g. It’s important to have comfortable seats….
How do you choose a cinema to go to? Write the things in the box under “Important” or “Unimportant”.
Ss discuss with their partners and write the words in the box in the chart.
Step Ⅲ Presentation
Look at the three pictures. Please compare the three pictures and make three sentences.
e.g. The first picture is big.
The second picture is bigger.
The last picture is the biggest.
Make similar sentences with these phrases.

Listen and match the statements with the movie theaters. Write in the names of the theaters.
