step1. Warm-up and revision(Brainstorm)
Show two pictures, guide students to say the adjectives of the pictures, then tell the superlative degree of the words.

Ask students to think of other pair of words like: long short….
S:big,small,hot, cold,beautiful,ugly..
Let students tell us the superlative degree of these words.

step2. Presentation(呈现新知识)
T shows two pictures of Liu Qian and Xue Zhiqian.
T:who are they?what are they?
Ss:Liu Qian. He is a magician.
Show the sentence:
1:Liu Qian is the best magician I know.
2:Xue Zhiqian is the best singer I know.(Xue Zhiqian sings the best. )
Group discussion:let students use the tips I give on PPT to make a sentence, and discuss the sentence with their partners,finally, choose some of them to share their sentences with us.
step3. Work on 1c
1)Now, let’s go to a talent show(with three pictures).
2)T: 1c Listen to people talking about the school talent show. Match the pictures with the performers.
