1. Check homework. Have some students read the report about what their family members think of different TV shows and the reasons.
2.Ask and answer questions according to the reports given. For example, What does Jack’s father think of news ? Why ?

Step 2: 2d Role-play
1. Read the conversations and match the name with the right shows.
① Grace a. game shows and sports shows
② Sarahb. soap operas
③ Grace’s classmates c. news and talk shows
2.Point to the conversation in 2d, and ask the following questions:
. What are Grace and Sarah talking about ?
. What kind of TV shows do Sarah’s classmates like ? What does Grace think of the shows ?
. What does Sarah and Grace think of soap operas ?
What are Sarah favorite TV shows ? What does Grace think of them ?
3.Check the answers.
4.Play the recording and ask students to listen and repeat.
5.Ask students to work in pairs and role-play the conversation
