Teaching procedure
Step 1 Lead-in
Free talk

Step 2 Work on 2d
According to the picture about Grace and Sarah , ask students to predict what they were talking about.
Read the conversation together for the first time , and then ask students to work in pairs and role-play the conversation. Then check whose prediction is right.
Ask students to underline the words and phrases which are used to express their likes and dislikes.(e.g. like , love, can’t stand , don’t mind, my favorite ) .
Show a table which is about Grace’s and Sarah ’s attitudes to different TV shows. Ask students to fill in the table with the words and phrases .
According to the table , ask students to retell the conversation .

Step 3 Grammar Focus
l.Have some students circle the infinitives in the conversation and point out the infinitives are used as objects.
2.Show three tiny conversations about the infinitives , and ask some students to find them . Summarize the infinitives here can be used to make plans .( e.g. want/hope /expect/ plan to do )

Step 4 Work on 3a
Ask students to make a conversation and then practice it with his /her partner. Then ask several pairs to show their conversations.
