三、Teaching procedures:
Ⅰ. Lead in:
1. Daily greeting.
2. Let the students watch a video about New Year’s resolution, then ask the students
What is resolution? Then give the explanation about resolution.
Show the pictures of myself about the resolution and what i do after i making the resolution and my dream was came true.
Ask the students what do they want to be?Lead in the students to answer the questions I want to be... show some jobs in the pictures then ask the students to speak out the whole sentence)
Ⅱ. Presentation
1. Ask the students to speak out the phases about resolutions.( Please look at the pictures,and then tell us what are the resolutions.)
2. Present some other New Year’s Resolutions pictures on the big screen.
e.g. learn to play the piano; make the soccer team; get good grades; eat healthier food; get lots of exercise
3. Then read all the resolutions together,give the identify of the future tense and explain the phrase ‘be going to...’’s functions.
Ⅲ. Listening.
Listen to the record for two times. The first time ask the students listen and circle the resolution you hear in 1a.
Then ask the students to speak out the answers and check the answers together.
Next let the students listen to the record for the second time, this time write how the people are going to make their resolutions work.
