教学过程
Step 1. Lead in
Some students stand in front of the class and tell us their new year’s wishes (Both Chinese and English are OK)
T: What did they talk about?
Ss: wishes, plans, hope
T：Yes. New year is coming, they talked about their new year’s wishes. We often make plans for the next year at the end of a year. And these new plans are also called “resolutions”(引出resolution 这个核心词汇，并教其发音，导入本课时内容)
T：What resolutions did they talk about?
Ss: get good grades, become taller, study hard, buy a new bike...
(板书学生提到的这些新年愿望/决心)
Step 2. Presentation
1. Show some pictures and ask students to guess my new year’s resolutions according to the pictures that are including pictures in 1a on page 44. Then show them these resolutions one by one and ask students read each of them 3 times.
Competition
Give students 2 minutes to remember these resolutions in 1a and then have a memory competition.(用图片展示1a中的短语并进行适当的拓展，学生读会、明白其意思， 然后进行记忆大比拼继续巩固这些短语，为接下来的对话练习做准备)
Step 3. Practice(pair work)
Role-play
Ask students role-play the conversation in 1b(A:boys B: girls)
2. What are your resolutions? Students write down their resolution quickly and then make conversations.
