2. 能力目标:结合思维导图,能用相关短语来分析自己未来的计划,要表达出“有什么计划(what)”和“如何执行该计划(how)”。并结合主题句、结尾句和连接词等要素来写一篇“关于未来计划”的文章。(难点)

3. 情感目标:通过对未来话题的讨论,能制订相应的计划,为实现自己的理想而不断努力。

五、教学过程

I. Lead-in: ask & answer about “what to do” this weekend; learning goals (4mins)

T: What day is it today? (Tuesday) The weekend is coming. I want to go to the park. I am going to ride a bike. I am going to take some photos. (using some pictures)

What do you want to do this weekend? What are you going to do this weekend?

Ss: I want to … / I am going to …

II. Check the preview part (with a passage) (8mins)

Ss read the passage together, and find the topic sentence, ending sentence and some conjunction words. (T shows the skills about “where to find the sentences” and “conjunction” words.)

Ss translate the phrases one by one.

With the mind map, Ss make sentences in their own words.

(T shows the example: I want to study English. I am going to keep on reading English every morning. I am going to do some English writing.

S1: I plan to keep healthy. I am going to take more exercise. I’m going to take a walk with my mother after supper.

S2: I hope to make friends. I am going to learn a lot from friends. I’m going to take part in some activities. I am going to meet more people.)

III. Cooperation & discussion (5mins)

Ss think of “what to do for the next year”, and “how to make the dreams come true”.

Ss write the ideas down, finish the mind map.

Ss discus and share their ideas with the partners in the group, using the structures “I want to…”, “I am going to …”

IV. Writing

1. Ss must know the thinking way of writing a composition. (ask the Ss about the “four steps”) (1mins)

2. Make sure about the topic sentence and the ending sentence, Ss write their own composition with the mind map. (12mins)

Ss can also learn a lot from the outlines on page 3 (of the worksheet).

Ss pay attention to the structure of “Introduction – Body - Conclusion”.

(T gives some help when the Ss are writing.)

3. If someone finishes writing, he can ask others for help to correct the mistakes. If possible, he/ she can find some “good sentences”.

4. T shows one or two compositions on the projection, and then asks one or two students to help to correct the mistakes. (Pay attention to the thinking way) (10mins)

(5. If times permits, Ss find some good sentences in their group, and then the whole class chooses the best one.)

V. Homework

Finish the writing, and then write it down on the exercise book.
