四教学过程:
Step 1. Warm-up
Listen to an English song called I believe I can fly.
(To make the students know they should believe they can achieve their dreams if they work hard.)
Step 2.Leading-in
Free talk: What will your life be like in the future?
(According to three questions: What will you be in the future? Where will you live? How will you go to work? This step is to practice using the Simple Future Tense.
The students practice the conversation in pairs and act in class. )
Step 3.Pre-writing
1.Read and fill in the blanks in 3a.
Show the learning strategies: The meaning of the sentences, the sentences before or after it and the structure of grammar can help fill in the blanks. Check the answers and clear up the doubts in groups.
2. Answer the questions according to the passage.
What will Jill be in twenty years?
Where will she live?
What kind of clothes will she wear?
What will she do in her free time?
(As they answer the questions , the teacher lead them to find out which aspects they are about in order to summary what they will write in their compositions.)
Step4.While-writing
1. Fill in the chart according to the mind map.
Talk about jobs, home, transportation, neighborhood, dressing and free time activities using the Simple Future Tense. At the same time, the students write the answers in the chart.
