Step 1 Warming up
Greet with the students and have a free talk about their favorite season and say why they like it best. They can say like this: I like best, because
Step 2 Pre-reading
Before they read the passage, I will ask them to look at the pictures and the sub-headings of the article on page 45. Then answer the questions below.
1 What is the weather like in spring? (It is rainy/ warm.)
2 What do people usually do in summer? (People usually swim in summer.)
3 What do people like doing in autumn? (People like going on a picnic in autumn.)
4 What do children like about winter? (Children like playing in the snow in winter.)
Ask students to answer the questions one by one. Then I will check and correct their answers.
Step 3 While- reading
Read the passage carefully for the first time and try to translate the sentences and if they have problems, they can discuss in groups or ask the teacher for help.
Read the passage again and try to complete the chart about the seasons below.

I will ask the students to read the passage again and try to understand the passage and get the main idea about the seasons. They can read in groups and practice their spoken English.
