Ⅰ. Linguistic competence

By the end of the class, the students will be able to:

1. perceive and use the key vocabulary(turn, exciting), phrases(go on a picnic, the Spring Festival ) and the sentence pattern(It is +adjective + to-infinitive).

2. express ideas about different seasons and describe activities in each season.

By the end of the class, the students will be able to:

1.comprehend the passage to get the main idea and detailed information by prediction, fast-reading and careful reading.

2.guess the meaning of some new words by inferring.

By the end of the class, the students will be encouraged to enjoy the beauty of nature and their life and be good at observing their surroundings to find beautiful things around them.

Ⅳ. Thinking quality

By the end of the class, the students will be able to develop their logical thinking ability by finishing the mind map and cultivate the sense of cooperation by group discussion.

Ss are asked to enjoy some pictures of the teacher and her family members. These pictures are taken from different seasons. Two question will be asked:

When were the photos taken?

How can you get the answer?

Other pictures will be showed here to present new words “turn”, ”exciting” and new phrases “go on a picnic” , “the Spring Festival”.
