Revision and lead-in:

= 1 ﹨* GB2 ﹨* MERGEFORMAT ⑴ Appreciate a picture and half of the story A Little Monk.

= 2 ﹨* GB2 ﹨* MERGEFORMAT ⑵ Have a PK game.

Design purpose: to arouse the students’ interest in English learning and help them to predict what they will learn in class.

Time allotment: 2 minutes

Step 2 Pre-activity

Task 1. Show some pictures about A Little Monk and teach sentences with infinitives.

Design purpose: these pictures can arouse the students’ curiosity hence they can focus on the class quickly. Vivid pictures can also help the students learn the new words easily.

Task 2. Free talk.
