Step1 Revision
Say hello to students and pretend to have a toothache. Let students to guess what’s the matter with me ,and ask them to give me advice together.
Show nine pictures on the screen, tell them that they all don’t feel very well today.Ask them what’s the matter with them and if they can help them.Discuss each problem and then ask nine pairs of students to act out their dailogues using the following sentences:
What’s tha matter with him or her?
He or she ...
What shoud he or she do ?
He or She should...
Step 2 Presentation
Tell students that in our lives,we may meet some more serious problems .Show them four pictures. Ask them if they know how to deal with the problems? If they don’t know,don’t worry.This period,we will learn how to deal with the problems.
Ask students if they ever got hit on the head, cut your finger, hurt your knee or had a noseblood? They are all serious problems. There are more problems like those on page . Show them the three pictures in 1a,and ask students what’s the matter with each picture. Ask them when this accidents happen,what should they do ? There are three actions near each accident.
Ask three students to read each three actions and translate them into Chinese.Teach some new words.And then ,ask them to put the actions in the right order.
Have students describe the actions using first,next, then and so on together.
Step 3 Listening
1.1b Listen to the school nurse.Check the problems you hear. Play the recording the first time,then check the answers by asking several students.

Ask them what would they do in these situations and what could they do to prevent these accidents. 2.Have them work in groups and give them several minutes to make a report.
